Neil James Cartwright, British

Marketing Manager, UK and Australia

I joined alongside two others on the 6-month trainee programme and was immediately thrown in at the deep end, looking after two markets and creating campaigns for both. We were all given complete ownership and responsibility for our markets, whilst always having the security of knowing that there was a full support team in place to help us out with any questions we had.

Since then, I have had the opportunity to manage numerous cross-department projects, right the way through from inception to completion, proving invaluable for my personal and professional development. The whole experience here at momondo has been thoroughly rewarding. On a daily basis I work alongside a group of young, international and motivated individuals, pushing me to continue learning and growing, to become the best marketer I can be.

Minttu Oramaa, Finnish

Head of Markets, Eastern Europe, Russia and Asia

I started at momondo two and a half years ago as an Online marketing trainee – and that was the best thing so far for my career. The trainee programme provided me with a steep learning curve from the get-go as I was trained in different sides of online marketing. This was accompanied by hands on work which enabled putting learned theory immediately into practice as during the training period I was already working with Finnish market.

The learning doesn’t end after the programme; at momondo continuous development is the norm and momondo offers its employees’ great possibilities to grow within the company. Working here you get freedom with responsibilities and as cherry on the top - you get to work as a part of fun and professional international team.

Robin Eriksson, Swedish

Head of Markets, Nordics, DACH and English speaking markets

I was part of the original group of 10 joining the trainee programme back in January 2013, and amongst the first 30 employees ever to work at momondo. We came from a broad and diverse background of 10 different nationalities from all around the world.

It was very exciting to be part of the vast international growth that momondo was due to embark upon. The programme was mainly focused upon giving us the tools we required to work within online marketing, and the strategic mindset on how to best invest for profitable growth. The main difference compared to other trainee programmes was that I was given ownership and responsibilities of the market performance (Sweden in my case) and that the top management trusted us with our investments in the market from an extremely early stage.

Pia Vemmelund

Managing Director

For years we have seen our trainee programme as a huge success and a beneficial way for us to grow our business. We operate with a scalable business model and today we are in more than 35 markets – an expansion kick-started by our trainee programmeme back in 2013. We have great in-house marketing skills and combined with local knowledge and talented employees we believe our trainee programme continues to add value to our business and organisation.

In other words: We have the product and the marketing skills which we pass on to our fast learning trainees. They, after just six months, are ready to take on greater responsibilities and support the activities we have in the different markets – and of course, all this is executed as true momondians, with tonnes of courage, action and love.

Tore Pein Jensen

Chief Marketing Officer

If you are looking for fast-paced development and the opportunity to learn whilst working – you should go for our trainee programme. Half of my direct reports today are former trainees, and they are now responsible for huge revenue portfolios. Other former trainees are running really central and important roles as for example, market responsible or responsible for function areas like our whole global social presence.

We have been blessed with great people in our trainee programme, and all have grown extremely fast - and their responsibility has grown at the same pace. If you are ready to: share when you fail; grab wen you see an opportunity; help the organization and your colleagues to improve; and do your best everyday - then you are the right kind of person for our trainee programme.

Kasper Hove

Head of Online Marketing

When we started up the trainee programme in January 2013 we had no idea how powerful a programme we just initiated. In six months we proved capable of educating among the top 10% most talented local online marketers, and calculating the value generated by a momondo trainee, it only made sense to move the trainees into full-time roles after the end of the programme.

I am proud to say that not only does momondo offer what is probably one of the best and most rewarding online marketing internships available , we also use our trainees as pillars upon which we can grow our local presence through intelligent local marketing investments.
